Shootin' The Breeze Presents Patrice Covington

"When you hear her soprano voice mixed with her unique style, you will love the sounds you hear.  Patrice will, without a doubt, make a tremendous impact on the music industry.", says singer, songwriter, and American Idol winner Reuben Studdard.

Patrice Covington hails from the Hampton Roads area of Virginia.  She comes from musical family.  Her father was the Minister of Music.  Both sides of her family have been blessed with the God-given gift of song.  She sang in church most of her childhood.

Patrice attended h ight school at the Virgina Governor's School for the Performing Arts where she received music and theatre training.  She began her professional career at the age of 16.  She performed on the Spirit of Norfolk, a local entertainment cruise boat.  Shortly after, she was a featured singer at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg as part of the Starlight Orchestra.  After these and other wonderful experiences, her career began to blossom.

For nearly a year and a half, Patrice toured the country portraying the infamous Effie White in Ain't Misbehavin. the role Jennifer Holiday and Jennifer Hudson made famous.  She's graced stages around the globe in this role.  She is soon to embark on a European with the cast of Ain't Misbehavin.

Patrice is preparing to take the music industry by storm.  Her cd "Life Feels Good Right Now" will be released in 2012.  In the meantime, you can get a taste of what's to come on her EP entitled "Patrice Covington"
