Master director Sidney Lumet passed away on April 9, 2011. A filmmaker known for his gritty realism, flair for capturing the spirit of New York City, and his profound love of actors, Mr. Lumet contributed many of our classic films from the past six decades, including 12 Angry Men, The Pawnbroker, Dog Day Afternoon, Serpico, Network and The Verdict.
In this retrospective tribute pulled from the Movie Geeks United archives, actors Chris Sarandon (Dog Day Afternoon) and Colm Feore (Night Falls on Manhattan) discuss their working relationship with Mr. Lumet, and what made his approach to actors so uniquely fulfilling.
