John Badham, director of such great movies as Saturday Night Fever and War Games, shares important insights about the actor/director relationship. He also reveals fascinating behind-the-scenes information concerning some of the stars he’s worked with, including Goldie Hawn, Mel Gibson, John Travolta and Kevin Costner. Two of Badham’s movies -- Blue Thunder and War Games -- received four Academy Award nominations in 1983. Plus, his TV work earned two 1973 Emmy nominations -- one for The Senator and the other for The Law. This talented filmmaker’s second book, John Badham On Directing, is scheduled for release in September. His first book, I’ll Be in My Trailer: The Creative Wars Between Directors and Actors, earned rave reviews. Badham currently serves as Professor of Media Arts for the Dodge School of Film and Media at Chapman University in California.
