This week’s conversation on the Black Reality Think Tank will feature a conversation between a 72-year old elder and a 22-year-old young warrior concerning life for African people living in America. The 50-year span of time (two generations) between Dr. William Rogers and Freeman Justice will offer a window of opportunity to learn some of the challenges between two men who have known and worked with each other for many years. Dr. Rogers was a mentor and teacher to Mr. Justice who has just returned to America from serving four years in the Navy traveling the Pacific Ocean. Both agree there are misunderstandings between the old and the young but the gaps must be bridged so that the baton of wisdom can be successfully transferred from one generation to the next. How do we bridge those gaps? How do you see the future for Africans living in America? How strong is the relationship between African American men and women? What about the African family; the police; Caucasians; the prison system; the education system etc.? These and other ideas will be examined in detail.
