Ep. 67 Creator of Shimmer and Shine on Nick Jr. Farnaz Esnaashari-Charmatz

Nick Jr.'s Shimmer and Shine creator and executive producer is an awesome mama! Farnaz Esnaashari-Charmatz is the showrunner for my daughter's favorite show. My reasons for having her on as a guest are purely selfish. I wanted to know how she created a popular animated series, and still manages to be a mom of 2 young kids. Animation is a world I don't know much about but am fascinated by. She tells me how she worked her way up from an internship at Nickelodeon and proved herself to be a top notch producer. She also tells me why she decided to make Shimmer and Shine so culturally diverse which something you don't see a lot of in animated shows for kids. We also talk about her musical influences on the show, what another animated series she's drawn to, and how her kids feel about having characters named after them. So cool!
