In 1957 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Congressman Adam Clayton Powell, Jr. were invited to Ghana, West Africa to attend the inauguration of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, the first President of the Gold Coast (Ghana). 

Dr. King delivered a powerful speech, to our people in Ghana about the blessings of being a beautiful black people and gaining independence of neo-colonialism.  The speech was entitled “The Birth of a New Nation”. 

On April 28 at 9 PM, MOR RADIO is proud to bring to you the full length speech of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in Ghana, West Africa.  This will be a special two hour broadcast which will include the speech in its entirety followed by an open discussion.
