Julie and Thomas talk about millionaire Tom Slick who was behind the Pacific Northwest Expeditions beginning in the late 50's.  Investigators of the group included John Green, Rene Dahinden, Bob Titmus, and Peter Byrne.  Thomas tells us the behind the scene stories as told to him by John Green and Rene Dahinden and other sources and some of these events are downright hilarious!  They talk about the group Tom put together up in Canada and what became of any potential evidence that was collected, and who contributed some of the funding such as the Father of Cryptozoology, Ivan Sanderson. Why was there so much infighting among the group? How did actor Jimmy Stewart play a role in all of this?  What sort of impact could Tom Slick had over time in the hunt for the elusive Sasquatch had he not met an untimely death in plane over Montana?  Tune in to find out on this episode of "On the Shoulders of Giants- Talking Old Timers with Thomas!"

Thomas is from British Columbia and has been researching the Sasquatch enigma since 1978 and is considered by many to be an "old school" investigator.  He has authored three books on the topic:  "The Sasquatch in Alberta"', 1989; “Sasquatch, Bigfoot, The Continuing Mystery", 1993; and "In search of Giants", 2000. Thomas has also co-authored two other titles: "Meet the Sasquatch", 2004 and "Sasquatch in British Columbia”, 2012. He has also written many articles and appeared on numerous television and Radio documentaries. Thomas was privy to the stories of how all of this Bigfoot Investigating began, and was friends with several of the “Squatchfathers”!

Julie lives outside of the Uwharrie Forest in North Carolina and is an active field investigator and has a keen interest in all Bigfoot research history.
