You know what’s been scientifically proven to light up your brain with gratitude, love and happiness? Doing something for someone else without expecting anything in return.

I myself have been guilty in the past of looking for the quid pro quo, wondering what the payback will be (either instant or future) if I do something worthwhile for someone else. And while I don’t exactly feel “evil” when I do that, I certainly don’t get the blissful feelings of joy as when I give my time, energy and love without expectations.

Research has proven over and over that just doing something for someone else without expecting anything in return makes us healthier and happier.
