Punch Drunk Radio: Costas Philippou, Yves Lavigne

Punch Drunk Radio’s hosts Amy Barton, Alex Donno and guest co-host John Petit welcome UFC fighter Constantino Philippou and MMA referee Yves Lavigne.

Philippou (Twitter: @Philippou185UFC) is riding a four-fight win streak and is approaching a bout against Tim Boetsch at UFC 155 that will surely put him in title contention with a victory.  We’ll grab his thoughts on his opponent, training and what 2013 has in store for the Cypriot.

Lavigne (Twitter: @YvesLavignemma) is one of the highly respected referees in the sport of MMA.  He is nowhere near the size of a Herb Dean of John McCarthy, yet is often called upon to officiate some of the biggest fights in any cage.  We’ll chat with Lavigne and get a first-hand perspective of what it is like to be the only one standing between two mixed martial artists as they throw down.
