Have you ever thought about suicide? Lots of people have had deep, dark thoughts creep into their minds that made them feel as if they were all alone -- and they’ve never told a soul. With the brain functioning differently after trauma, there are reasons that people think about, consider, and sometimes act on suicidal thoughts. So, what can a person do for him or herself to resist those negative thoughts that propel them to consider carrying out the act of suicide?

Today’s episode will discuss five ways that individuals who are contemplating suicide can protect themselves from eventually acting out their minds negative direction. Plus, I'll interview Dr. Kim Dennis, CEO and Medical Director, Timberline Knolls Residential Treatment Center about the psychological aspects of suicide and the role of your mind.
