Mali Phonpadith, a poet, author and entrepreneur, was born in Laos during the Vietnam War. Her family fled across the Mekong River on a boat and made it safely to the refugee camps of Ubon Rachatani in Thailand. In A Million Fireflies, Mali, takes us on a journey of love and loss, incorporating both poetry and her real-life stories to give voice to the true language of a heart that has seen much, felt deeply and survived to shine.
