Miami Beach, like beauty, is the in eye of the beholder. Some see hotels, resorts and beaches, while others see restaurants and nightclubs. Some dive below the surface of the ocean, while others seek art, dance and opera. If there is an art to tourism, then Miami Beach is the curator. Remix and evolve. Take a walk on the artistic side - galleries and gallery walks, classical music, modern dance, exciting entertainment. From the Miami Design and Wynwood Art Districts to the "on the edge-of-the-ocean" vibe of South Beach, Miami Beach moves to a tropicool rhythm of its own.

13 June 2009: An impromtu show from the Wynwood Art District. Following a brief conversation with David Lombardi, general manager of the Wynwood Social Club, I spent a few minutes with a local PR person, had few words with Thea Goldman, who spoke about her restaurant, Joey's Wynwood and Wynwood Art District; and then talked with Dorothy Long, Director of Chelsea Galleria; and, Dina Mitrani, owner of a photo gallery. Along the way ran into one of Miami Beach's top DJs, who is also my favorite downtempo/chillout guy - JP Rigaud and Michael Lewis, publisher of Miami Today. The weather was great. I was surprised by the number of people. This show was produced by Ken English, the BlogTalkRadioGuy, via cellphone from the intersection of NW 25 Street and NW 2 Avenue in the Wynwood Art District of Miami.
Original Air Date: 6/14/2009 1:30 AM UTC
