Athanasios N. Komianos

Athanasios N. Komianos ("Nassos") was born in Kifissia, Athens in 1964. In 1981 he left for the U.S. in order to study psychology at the University of Oklahoma, and it was there, in 1983, that he had his first encounter with hypnotic states. He soon switched to sociology, in his quest to understand social behavior. He graduated from Old Dominion University in 1985, and in 1986 returned to Greece where he took over a family business.

 

In 1990 he became acquainted with the Silva method and obtained seminar training in trance states. Finally, in 2000, he was formally trained in hypnosis in Athens by Burt Goldman, a Silva Method presenter. From there he started experimenting with friends, and decided to enter the field professionally.

 

Komianos then became accredited by the National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH) as a Certified Hypnotherapist, and moved to Corfu where he has practiced professionally since 2004. He is a certified member of the International Board for Regression Therapy (IBRT), and serves as vice president on the board of the European Association for Regression Therapy (EARTh).
