Harlem Legends Joins in AME Founder's Day Observance

Larry ‘Gator’ Rivers and the 6th Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal (A.M.E) Church cordially invite you, your family and friends to its Founder’s Day Harlem Legends Celebrity Basketball Game, Saturday, Feb. 16 at noon.  The weekend events include:  Friday evening worship service at Calvary Baptist Temple on Waters Ave, Saturday morning 200 unit A.M.E. Founder’s Day Parade (leaving May and Anderson Streets and ending at DeRenne Middle School, 1009 Clinch Street). Immediately following the parade, at DeRenne Middle School, there will be a Battle of the Bands featuring local drum lines, and Gator Rivers with the Harlem GlobeTrotter Legends Celebrity Basketball Exhibition Game. Celebrity Christian comedian Akintunde will serve as the Grand Master of the parade and MC of the Founder’s Day celebration.
