La Sey Daniels played at Johnson High during the '60s era, was MVP in the state of GA his junior year and won the state championship against Beach High in the finals.

He and Gator were legendary in the state All Star game that next year when the South beat the North, Daniels scored 22 points.

After high school he signed with University of Indiana with Bobby Knight.  Later, he transferred to Marquette and played for Al McQuire.  His team made it to the Final 4 championship game.

He currently teaches and coaches at Hardeeville Middle School in S C.
