Larry Reno has been involved with NAIC since September 1982 when he, with three friends he worked with, started an investment club called Mutual Investors of Atlanta. In 1986 Larry volunteered as a charter member of the Atlanta Council of NAIC and has gone on to serve in various capacities. In 1995 he was elected as an Associate Director and in 2000 a full Director to the NAIC National Board of Directors. In 2011 he was awarded the Kenneth S. Janke Lifetime Achievement Award for over twenty-five years of service at the Chapter level.

Larry has contributed to the Atlanta Journal and Constitution Investment Quarterly from 1996 to 2001 and other local publications such as Georgia Trends. He has been interviewed by two of the local Atlanta television stations as well as NBC’s Nightly News and CNN’s Moneyline. Larry was employed with the Department of the Army where he has served for over thirty-two years as a civil servant in the financial field. He has worked in various positions around the world. Larry retired from the U.S. Government and said, “I could not have retired so young had it not been for BetterInvesting. I plan to give back to others what BI gave to me.” He lives in Fayetteville with his wife of thirty-four years and three Pomeranians who are ALL avid RV travelers. They have four children and four grandchildren.
