Established in 1951, we're a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has helped over 5 million people learn how to invest profitably in stocks of high-quality growth companies. We support investment clubs and individuals through our education, online stock selection and analysis tools, and publications.  

Byron was born and raised on Chicago’s Southside Auburn/Gresham neighborhood and currently resides in Chicago Bronzeville neighborhood.He received his Associates Degree from Olive-Harvey College, his Bachelor of Science Degree from North Central College and his Master’s Degree in Computer Science for the Illinois Institute of Technology Byron has 30+ years as a technologist in the Telecommunication Industry working for AT&T Bell Laboratories, Lucent Technologies, Alcatel-Lucent Technologies and Nokia. Inventor on several Telecommunication Patents.

Today Byron works for AllstateTechnology and Strategic Ventures where he is the Principal API Evangelist.Byron is an advocate stock investor and has started several investment clubs all geared towards teaching African Americans about the power of investing in the stock market. He has mentored several African American men.

Byron has been an adjunct professor with the City Colleges of Chicago for several years and has taught Computer Science classes at his alma mater Olive-Harvey as well as Kennedy-King and Daley.Byron is proud of the community that produced him and is committed to giving back to that community for future generations.
