     “The Faith Equation”

       I really enjoyed Math as a child. As I got older, not so much! But equations always fascinated me. In life just like Math, things have to add up to make sense. For the Believer, the right hand has to know what the left hand is doing. Faith is not an absolute in life. It cannot go unattended. Faith is like a garden. If a garden is left unattended, it will be overtaken by weeds. The garden (faith) needs to be tended to, nourished and strengthened (by reading, studying, meditating and doing God’s Word).

       As I lose faith, that is, when I lose my hearing, I also lose my fear of the Lord. When I lose my fear of the Lord it places me squarely outside of the KOG. Therefore, the faith equation is this:

                   FAITH + HEARING = FEAR OF THE LORD
