Church Mothers have been a staple in the black church for decades. No matter what you you think about them, they are probably here to stay.

There are equally compelling arguments on both sides of the aisle as to whether or not their role as spiritual matriarchs has run its course.  To be certain, they often have "run-ins" with the 'First Lady" forcing the church body to choose sides!
