Markus' career started at The Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre in NYC where he was lucky enough to be in one of the last regular classes with Sanford Meisner. The Meisner technique is famous for teaching actors to listen and be specific. Markus' career is a result of always listening for the specifics.

This has lead to a 22 year acting career, seeing 7 of his plays produced, the sale of his movie script to Fox studio, Directing TV and stage, teaching acting for 7 years in the Los Angeles area and the publishing of his book One Less Bitter Actor; The Actor's Survival Guide.
