Robert Kolker is the author of Lost Girls, the New York Times bestseller, now in paperback, about five young women who went missing and became victims of the Long Island serial killer. Maureen Brainard-Barnes, Melissa Barthelemy, Megan Waterman, Shannan Gilbert and Amber Lynn Costello all were in their early twenties and from towns far away from the beach where they were found. The police ignored all their disappearances until their names became linked to an unsolved serial-killer case. Robert Kolker researched the case and their lives and learned how they each became so vulnerable and why their cases were so ignored for so long.

ABOUT JENNYnJERRY BOONE: Jenny and Jerry got started working with the loved one of the missing and murdered as a ripple effect of this world. Jenny found herself thrust into it after her sister, Jean, who was pregnant at the time, and brother-in-law, David, were violently murdered on Saturday, March 31, 1979. They were on their way home to spend Easter with their family. They were going to share their wonderful news, they were going to have a baby. Jenny was one of the few people who knew, she just found out that day on the phone.
