Jabari Bristow (performing under the name Mayz) started his music career when he joined the multi-platinum rap artist Twista and formed the rap group The Speedknot Mobstaz. The group released the song "In your World" on the soundtrack to Eddie Murphy's "Dr. Dolittle film in 1998. Later that same year the group released their debut album via CWAL / Atlantic Records. The album featured guest artists Psycho Drama, Danny boy, Christopher Williams and Shock The World.
