Legacy...

This Thursday at 6 PM will be no ordinary show. In fact, I believe history is being made!  Somehow, I feel like I've lived this moment before. I'm having a one on one conversation with my first protege & eldest son, Gerald.  Since the age of 9 he's wanted his own company.  He's read tons of books on entrepreneurship, business management, & world-changers like Walt Disney.  He started a bubble-gum machine business at the age of 13 and today he is the owner of Legacy.  I can't say that the birthing process was all glorious, in fact, if I'm honest, this road we've traveled has been rather adventurous (laughing & crying on the inside).  Our financial challenges, coupled with my single-parent status & his determination helped inspire this dream.  In our previous shows we explored decisions and how they impact the next generation, especially our children.  Although Legacy by definition is something transmitted by or received from an ancestor or predecessor or from the past (Merriam-Webster online)  can give the impression that it isn't present day, I beg to differ. We've learned that we create legacy with each life and generation. We can determine the quality of life by the quality of our choices and therefore, leave a legacy worth carrying on!
