Dr. J. Marvin Herndon is a scientist with a strong and yet broad background. Originally trained as a physicist, he earned a Ph.D. in nuclear chemistry and received post-doctoral training in geochemistry and cosmochemistry from world-class master scientists who had themselves learned from masters. His website NuclearPlanet.com contains easy-to-understand descriptions of his work. The first thing you find on that website is his statement:”The purpose of science is to discover the true nature of Earth and Universe and to share that knowledge with people everywhere. That’s what I do.” And indeed, that’s what he does. Three decades ago, Marvin Herndon began to discover that the inside of Earth was not quite like what government-funded scientists had long thought, and quickly came to realize that scientific independence comes a price. Since then, he has pursued science independently. Dubbed a “Maverick Geophysicist” by the Washington Post, Marvin Herndon has lived up to that moniker by providing entirely new insight into the nuclear georeactor origin of the Earth’s magnetic field and into a new understanding of the way the Earth formed and works, called Whole-Earth Decompression Dynamics, which provides new insight into where and why oil and natural gas deposits occur.
