In, John Chapter 1, John the Baptiste knew that God was sending the messiah, but he didn't know who would be the prophesied messiah. John the Baptiste testified "I didn’t know Jesus was the one,” John said, “but at the time God sent me to baptize him. God told me, ‘When you see the Holy Spirit descending and resting upon someone, He is the one you are looking for, The prophesied messiah. He is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit!’ I saw it happen to this man Jesus, and I therefore, testify that JESUS is the Son of God.” FRIENDS, JOHN KNEW JESUS BECAUSE THEY WERE COUSINS, HOWEVER, HE DIDN'T KNOW JESUS WAS THE PROPHESIED MESSIAH UNTIL THE DAY JESUS PRESENTED HIMSELF TO BE BAPTIZED BY JOHN THE BAPTISTE. GOD CONFIRMED HIS ORDINATION DURING HIS BAPTISM WHEN THE HOLY SPIRIT DESCENDED ON JESUS! JESUS IS THE MESSIAH FOR THE JEWS AND THE GENTILES! JESUS IS THE HEAD OF THE CHURCH AND WE ARE HIS BODY. Ephesians 1:20-23 It is that same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in heaven, far above any other king or ruler or dictator or leader. Yes, his honor is far more glorious than that of anyone else either in this world or in the world to come. And God has put all things under his feet and made him the supreme Head of the Church— which is his body, filled with himself, the Author and Giver of everything everywhere.
