In Mark, Chapter 1, God announced that he would send his Son to earth and that a special messenger would arrive first to prepare the world for his coming. This messenger was John the Baptist. John taught all should be baptized as a public announcement of their decision to turn their backs on sin so that God could forgive them. John baptized all that confessed their sins in the Jordan River. One day, Jesus, the messiah was baptized by John in the Jordan River. The moment that Jesus came up out of the water, he saw the heavens open and the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove descending on him and a voice from heaven said" You are my beloved Son; you are my Delight." FRIENDS, GOD CONFIRMED BEFORE JOHN THE BAPTIST AND THE PEOPLE WHO WERE PRESENT, THAT JESUS WAS GOD'S ONLY SON, THE SON OF GOD! THE HEAVENS OPENED AND THE HOLY SPIRIT CONFIRMED HIS ORDINATION AND HIS MINISTRY! TODAY, YOU CAN OPEN YOUR HEART AND ACCEPT HIM AS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOR!
