On the latter, Candace offers a Bill Mahr-worthy series of observations. "My theory is proving true—that the only way you can chase the Republican nomination is if you have a one-syllable first name," she says. "Ron Reagan. George Bush. Bob Dole. John McCain. And now—they all got one syllable—Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich, Mitt Romney and my boy Ron Paul." Paul, incidentally, she continues, "is like the old dude who comes to your job all the time. And you just can't wait to hear what he's gonna say to your manager. All the stuff you always wanted to say, he's gonna say."
