On March 17, 2012, the National Empowerment Group, Inc. and J. MOST will host the 4th Annual "Women Unite to Win" Appreciation Banquet at the Mall of America Hilton Hotel, Bloomington, MN. This year's theme is: "I Survived Domestic Violence - I Finally Broke My Silence".

Globally, at least one in every three women has been beaten or otherwise abused during her lifetime, making domestic violence the leading cause of injury to women, outpacing car accidents, muggings, and rapes combined. The event honors 10 women in the Twin Cities area who have survived tragedy and have made significant contributions in fighting domestic violence. Yvette Cade, a nationally recognized advocate against domestic violence and the survivor of a horrific act of domestic violence will speak from personal experience, which began with a fragile marriage and culminated in the tragic act of being doused by gasoline and set on fire by her estranged husband. Ms. Cade has appeared on CNN, the Oprah show, Montel Williams Show, as well as, being featured in the acclaimed TV One documentary: "Will to Live".
