A few weeks ago Barack Obama was elected President of the United States. We have high expectations for the man who will take office in January. He is charged with leading a country with multiple, serious problems: a tanking economy, two wars, and citizens who lack health care. Who will he appoint to his cabinet? How will his election affect race relations in America? We will have a black woman in the White House. Black women are generally portrayed in an unflattering, stereotypical way. What impact will Michelle have on the image of black women in our society? Please join me this evening as I feature: Phyllis Bailey (Houston, TX), Kimberly Shoaf (Los Angeles, CA), Mandisa Ross (Indianapolis, IN) and Nona Jones (Atlanta, GA)
