One of the most challenging times in the life of a teen is making the transition from bicycle rider to automobile driver. Consider that Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death among 15 to 20 year olds and that 16 year olds are 3 times more likely to die in a motor vehicle accident than the average of all other drivers. Drinking and driving, texting, driving while distracted by Smartphones and friends all represent hazards. Keeping our children safe during this phase of their development is quite the challenge. This show examines the relation between teens, automobiles, peers and parents and explores methods for parental supervision that will help insure the safety of your budding driver.
