Photobucket Book Talk Radio welcomes Marc L. Abbot author of a book called A Gamble of Faith. Marc L Abbott attended Clark Atlanta University where he majored in Mass Media Arts and received his bachelor’s degree in Radio, Television and Film. In 1995 his first short story “Deuce” was published in the magazine African Voices. That same year he scripted three pieces which aired on WBAI FM on the show Shelf Life with David Wright. The stories, “Tabby”, “Rush Hour” and “Tales from the Dead Syndicate” were part of a weekly airing of new writers work. He went on to writing and developing short film projects. He wrote and directed two pieces; “Goodbye” a drama told in three parts. The second was entitled “A Fly on the Wall” a drama in which the audience walks through a party and listens in on conversations about love, friendship and witness growing relationships. His next writing venture was for the stage. “A Gamble of Faith” was a one act play that was showcased at The Producers Club in New York City. It ran for four years in and around Brooklyn and Manhattan to several sold out performances. The popularity of the play prompted Abbott to write a novel version of “A Gamble of Faith” independently. While shopping Gamble he wrote a second novel entitled The Hooky Party. The novel was picked up by Hobbcat Publishing Inc. soon after and received a favorable review in The Amsterdam News later that same year. His new book, a collection of horror stories entitled “Anthorrorgy” has already received favorable praises again from The Amsterdam News and can be found through Barnes and Nobles and Amazon. Marc is the process of working on a new novel and lives in New York City with his wife. www.hobbcatpublishing.com
