Welcome to the “Critical Communications in Tribal Communities” podcast series, episode 1 on education, hosted on Government Technology Insider.

The past year has presented many challenges, especially regarding education in tribal communities. For those learning on tribal lands, the access to education and learning materials was made even more difficult due to the pandemic. From poor Internet connections to no Internet at all, tribal communities came together and partnered with industry to deliver learning materials to students.

And, for this episode, we are joined by Christie Abeyta, Assistant Principal at the Santa Fe Indian Middle School in Santa Fe New Mexico; Francis Vigil, Tribal Education Specialist at the National Indian Education Association; and Anita Hart, Client Partner Federal, Tribal Team Verizon, who will discuss this topic further.
