Interview with Balabhadra Bhattacarya Dasa

Balabhadra Bhattacarya Dasa (Benny J Tillman) is a direct disciple of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupad (Founder of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness). He joined the Hare Krishna Movement during October of 1973 in Atlanta. Prior to joining the Hare Krishna Movement he was a successful musician in the Atlanta music scene during the late 60's and 70's. Balabhadra dasa served as president of the Atlanta Hare Krishna Temple for more then eighteen years and he is currently a member of the Atlanta and Philadelphia Hare Krishna temple board of directors. Currently Balabhadra dasa is the President of They Call Us Friends, Inc. (www.theycallusfriends.org), and Atlanta based nonprofit that focuses on social and cultural issues in the urban communities. He also served as chairman of the Dekalb Inter Faith Coalition for Prevention for more than fourteen years.
