Tim Murphy Tim is best known for his self-penned hit single, ‘Bottom of The Fifth’ which was voted into the 2002, 45th Grammy Awards for nominations in two categories: Best Country Song and Best Country Male Vocal Performance. Add to this; three Top-40 hits, a Top-Ten single, a video which claimed the number one spot on ICE-TV (Independent Country Express) and one that came in at 46 on the Top-100 videos on www.youtube.com, and in June of 2007 Tim was named; Number One Country Indie Artist in the world by The Independent Music Network. Tim graced the cover of New Music Weekly Magazine in August of 2006 and at the New Music Weekly Award Show in Hollywood, California on November 18th 2006 he took home the top honor of ‘Top Male Country Artist Of The Year’ along side the other talented newcomer at the time, Carrie Underwood, who won for ‘Top Female Country Artist of The Year’ by The New Music Weekly Awards Association. The most recent single, ‘Burn Me Down’ captured the number one spot on New Music Weekly Charts and reached 3 on Music Row. Tim hails from sunny California where he grew up on his daddy’s recorrd collection consisting of all the greats like Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash and George Jones. He took these influences and mixed them with some of his older brothers collection of Bob Segar and The Eagles. He incorporated some of his own favorites such as Hank Jr., Waylon & Willie and George Strait, added his own little touch of spirituality and has come up with a magical flavor that radio personalities and people everywhere are dubbing as ‘Murph Music’! Tim has had the pleasure and honor of sharing the stage with such greats as Tracy Byrd, Jo Dee Mesina, Trick Pony, Montgomery Gentry, Lila McCann, Freddy Fender, Restless Heart and Shannon Brown.
