The boxing history podcast is back!
Once more Compubox operator and fight historian Aris Pina joins Patrick Connor of The Fight City to talk boxing and it's long, convoluted and wonderful history. This week on the show, Aris and Patrick discuss the happenings of fights that happened during or around the second week of October in history.
From Tommy Sullivan vs Abe Attell for the featherweight title in 1904; to Henry Armstrong vs Al Manfredo for the welterweight title in 1939; to Alexis Arguello's defense of a featherweight belt over Royal Kobayashi in 1975; and back to Sam Langford vs Sam McVey V (one of their 15 fights total) for the "negro" heavyweight title in 1912... There is no era that's off limits.
