God Speaks through the Inward Witness

Romans 8:16 says, The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God. The phrase, ‘bear witness’ means ‘to provide tangible evidence for the truth’.  

In the court of law when lawyers want to prove the validity of their case, they present tangible evidence that bears witness to the fact that what they are saying about their client is true.
