What is an apology?

Elder Hillman discusses the difference between giving an apology and asking for forgiveness. Christians are commanded to ask for forgiveness when they offend someone and to grant forgiveness when they have been offended. Many Christians struggle with this doctrine in their lives and consequently carry bitterness and unforgiveness in their hearts for many years following an offense. Elder Hillman brings an understanding to the need for Christians to "train" themselves to ask for forgiveness instead of asking for someone to accept their apologies.
