It was a proud day in Worth County Rams High School athletics and for Basketball Head Coach Tim Hathcock when ’07 graduate Quintierra ‘Tia’ Lewis signed with the University of Central Florida (UCF). This came following the WCHS Lady Rams basketball team posting a 25-5 record and a regional championship win.

In her freshman year at UCF, the 6’ 3” Poulan girl became the ‘07- ‘08 Conference USA Freshman of the Year and the only UCF player to start each of the Lady Knights’ 30 season games. She finished her first college season ranked second in the nation in rebounding, averaging around 12 rebounds per game; not to mention her game average of double figures in every game played that season.

Tia transferred to Old Dominion to start their 2008 season in her sophomore year as a Lady Monarch and would continue on with what she knows best, the game. She led the team in scoring; double figures in 21 games, posting two 20 point games within the season.

As an ODU junior she scored her 1000th career point and earned team MVP.
