US Representative Jeff Miller discusses Issues at the Department of Veterans Affairs with Sons of the American Legion Radio on WVOX 1460 AM New Rochelle, NY.

Rep. Jeff Miller serves as Chairman of the House Committee on Veterans' Affairs, responsible for authorization and oversight of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA.)  VA is the second largest department in the federal government with over 340,000 employees and a budget of over $160 billion.  Miller also serves on the House Armed Services Committees (HASC.)  He represents Florida's First Congressional District covering Pensacola, the "Panhandle" region.

In 2011 Rep. Miller sponsored legislation to allow the placement of the Jewish Chaplains Monument at Chaplains Hill in Section 2 of Arlington National Cemetery.  Chairman Miller provided a keynote speech at the dedication on Oct. 24th of that year.  SALRadio is part of a team developing plans for further improvements to Chaplains Hill including a new Protestant Chaplains Monument with names of chaplains KIA in Korea and Vietnam, and a monument to honor chaplains KIA Post 9-11.
