The Fine Brothers...creators of a website called Kids React, has put a group of children between the ages of five and thirteen in a room and showed them a series of same-sex marriage proposals between lovers.

In Maryland, Principal Caren Shandel of the Heritage Middle School has mandated its middle school children to cross-dress and publicly display romantic gestures of affection between same-sex partners or risk a failing grade. Additionally, Principal Shandel was quoted as saying: "I won't stop until there is an out-of-the-closet homosexual in every family!"

Society has changed dramatically since the 80's. Many social issues that were once targeted only for adults as a means of educating them into an easy transition to educate their children, are now easily accessible to our children. Issues about sex, sexuality, abuse, substance addiction an dmanyother highly mature issues are no longer being adressed in "late night" movies or adults only talk shows.  Many have conceded that today's technology has made modern day children more "mature", thus exposing them to issues that take away the parents' job of teaching their children about life in a reasonable timeline. Are we stripping our children of their childhoods? Or is a necessary means to keep up with the times?
