The "N.I.M.B.Y. Disease" is my acronym for the "not in my backyard" way of thinking in today's society. Long gone is the "village" that raises the children and the many factors of today's society that cause people to think less as a community, and more as an individual. Human networking has been replaced with computer networking, our economy has been stripped of choices, and our youth fail to thrive because there are no options to choose from. With the absence of the "see something, say something" practices of the previous generation, what options do we have to shape  out a better future for our children?
