NICKNAMES, STREET NAMES OR WHATEVER, it seems like most people I know, especially black people, have some other name they are called that is NOT the name they momma gave them. I mean think about it for a sec, in fact look at your FB friends list or Myspace. Hell you can even look in your phone! I'm willing to bet almost every person in that phone that's under 50 has a damn alias. A NICKNAME, a STREET NAME, if they are creative an ARTIST NAME..its gonna be something! When I thought about this show I went through my phone and all I could do is laugh. The only stark difference in numbers was the females tended to have AKA's a tad bit less. BUT some of them I didn't grow up with so they might have had one back in the day and dropped it and got brand new when they got grown. But AKA's for the black community almost seem like a mandatory requirement, especially in the hood. So here goes: Do you have an AKA? If so what is it? Do you like your AKA? Who gave you the name? Why did you get the name? What's the craziest AKA you ever heard? What's an AKA that someone you know has that you are GLAD you don't have? What's the coolest AKA you heard that you thought was fly? Do you know someone with an AKA that straight up does NOT fit them and often wonder how the hell they got that name? Have you ever given someone an AKA and it stuck with them? I know just about every single one of my callers can relate directly or indirectly to this topic so I hope yall can call in
