Tom too tall Cunningham interviews NORMA NICHOLSON RN BA MA (Ed) who recently authored and published “Young Lives on the Line: You Can Make a Difference” by drawing upon her own experiences growing up as an at- risk child who was a homeless infant and youth. She also enhanced her professional expertise through her management of health care for at-risk children and youth in the largest secure youth custody facility in Ontario, Canada and from being a passionate community volunteer.

As an author, speaker, educator, youth expert, founder and Executive Director of Ignite4Youth, she currently facilitates community outreach programs such as workshops for youth and families, police and correctional services, seminars in local churches, lunch and learn sessions for employees in a variety of work environments and for youth focused organizations and their employees.

She has received many prestigious awards and recognitions from the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario and nursing colleagues across the Province. She is also a five-time nominee for the Toronto Star Nightingale award.

Norma has served as President of the Alzheimer Society of Peel, President of the Registered Nurses Association of Peel Region and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario. She is also an engaging member of the Mississauga Board of Trade, the Mississauga Arts Council, Toast Masters of Mississauga and a Director on the Board of the Malton Neighbourhood Services.
