Stephen is the new Chaplain at King-Bay Chaplaincy located in downtown Toronto, in the Financial district. King-Bay Chaplaincy is a marketplace Ministry created to provide hope and help for people living and working in downtown Toronto. On any given day, there are more than half of a million people within a 1 km radius of their office.
Stephen is originally from Canada and worked in the commercial real estate industry for 20 years, with stints in Toronto, Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai.
With an undergraduate degree in Economics from McGill University in hand, he returned to school in 2010 and received his Masters of Divinity degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2013. He is continuing on in PhD studies, also at Southern, majoring in Ethics with a particular focus on business ethics and the purpose of a company from a Christian perspective.
He had originally planned to return to China, but instead felt called to move back to Toronto to minister to business people, professionals and white collar workers in the Financial District. His is blessed to be serving as a bi-vocational church planter with Toronto Church Planting and as the Chaplain at King Bay Chaplaincy.
