OBAMACARE - THE GOVT SHUTDOWN - AND GOLF

With the so-called government shutdown now in place because the House Republicans voted to refuse to fund Obamacare for a year and to get rid of all the exemptions from Obamacare given to special interest groups and the Congress and other select federal agencies, what exactly is involved in a federal government shutdown?  Are the Republicans , the Democrats, and/or the president responsible for the impass? Should the Republicans cave, even though the Democrats and the president refuse to negotiate? What position do your support?
