On-going chronic pain can be debilitating and life-altering Whether the pain is from surgery, trauma or an acidic pH, you can help reduce chronic pain by balancing pH. After surgery or trauma, the injured area can become overly acidic from the healing process. This can constrict the tissues and limit circulation. This limited circulation also limits the detoxification of acidic cellular waste which can create inflammation and an increase in pain. An acidic pH is a measure of the potential of hydrogen in a solution. When a solution is more acidic there is more hydrogen and less oxygen. The pH scale is from 0-14, 7 is in balance or equilibrium. You can test your saliva and urine pH with pH test strips. By balancing pH you improve the lymphatic system's ability to detox cellular waste and you create a less damaging environment so your chronic pain can heal.
