Tyre,Tares and the Republic

This weeks message - Tyre,tares and the republic.
2Ch 2:13  And now I have sent a cunning man, endued with understanding, of Huram my father's,
2Ch 2:14  The son of a woman of the daughters of Dan, and his father was a man of Tyre, skilful to work in gold, and in silver, in brass, in iron, in stone, and in timber, in purple, in blue, and in fine linen, and in crimson; also to grave any manner of graving, and to find out every device which shall be put to him, with thy cunning men, and with the cunning men of my lord David thy father.

As the afore mentioned verse the idea is that men of Tyre were artisans in engraving and shaping metals ornately .... giving that rich appeal and grandeur.

Neh 13:16  There dwelt men of Tyre also therein, which brought fish, and all manner of ware, and sold on the sabbath unto the children of Judah, and in Jerusalem.
Neh 13:17  Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them, What evil thing is this that ye do, and profane the sabbath day?

Here the men of Tyre are enabling the people of Judah to transgress the Sabbath,lending us so far with the idea that if Tyre isnt evil ..... they have at least the tendacy to tempt toward evil and involve a trait that lures into idolatry and sin.

Isa 23:17  And it shall come to pass after the end of seventy years, that the LORD will visit Tyre, and she shall turn to her hire, and shall commit fornication with all the kingdoms of the world upon the face of the earth.

Ah now we have the true understanding of Tyre and what it is about and what it signifies when we see her present .... see another verse and truly understand of what we speak:
