Hosted by Jersey Phil from Washington, NJ and his partners Southern Flyer from Charlotte, NC. and Sackie-originally from "Da Bronx"-now living in North Carolina. Jersey Phil, Southern Flyer and Sackie will discuss Oldies, Doo Wop, R&B and Soul, and that Olde Tyme Rock and Roll. Topics will include tunes, performers, producers, and many of the issues that influenced music from the 1950's and 1960's.

Jersey Phil, Southern Flyer, and Sackie will focus on the popular music styles of the 1950's and early 1960's. Jersey Phil is a DJ for the Doo Wop Cafe at http://www.doowopcafe.net with a show on Saturday mornings from 6:00AM to 8:00 AM Eastern time. Southern Flyer is a DJ for a Live 365 show called "Southern Selects" which features the great "Beach Music" from the East Coast. Sackie is an experienced Doo Wop singer and over the years has performed with many excellent groups. Sackie, Southern Flyer and Jersey Phil will occaisonally have a guest to interview and representative tunes will be demonstrated.

    This show features Sal Donnarumma who sang with the Consorts from the Bronx N.Y. They recorded under various names, and also recorded for a few different labels. Sal also worked for and recorded for Cousins records. They are best known for their release on Apt Records of "Please Be Mine" B/W "Time After Time". The Consorts were also responsible for the release of the song "Barbara Ann" {which they recorded also} by the Regents and the Beach Boys. Sal also produced The Zircons who sang "Lonely Way" and also "Silver Bells" for his Cool Sound label, along with many other tunes by the group.
