New York Governor Cuomo has proposed an end to direct funding to schools such as the New York Institute for Special Education and 11 other special schools in New York, which have educated more than 1500 deaf, blind and severely physically disabled students for more than 190 years! New York's disabled students are being treated like pawns in Albany's budget war. Please give us a voice by signing a petition which I will email you shortly, protesting against the closing of the so-called "4201 schools" in NY or alternatively, join us on March 10, 2011 in Albany as we fight for these very vulnerable Disabled children of New York.
