Our guest today is Mick Quinn, author of the award winning book, THE UNCOMMON PATH TO AUTHENTIC JOY.  He and his wife Debora are have formed the Integral Heart Foundation whose mission is to connect the right people that will change the future of humanity.  Spiritual development is about increasing our levels of awareness. This includes a movement from an egocentric perspective, the conditioned view of life, to the higher stage, which is called ethnocentric perspective which is the ability to take the view of a larger group or culture. From there we can continue our development to a worldcentric perspective, which is the ability to take the perspective of all of humanity. From this higher perspective we begin to see our own development not as just for sake of self, but for the sake of humanity. As evidence that we are reaching this higher perspecitive, worldcentric, we will begin to find that we are concerned with the matters that are affecting the entire planet, not just in our thoughts or feeling, but in our actions.
